The Attic of my Room

Gerhard Treml’s dissatisfaction with his one room apartment in Vienna has metamorphosed into The Attic of My Room, a work that explores the potential events that might occur in this hypothetical architectural addition. Corn fields, saw mills and parking lots play host to just a few of the bizarre activities taking place in Treml’s “attic.” The work incorporates drawing and sculpture, the structure of the “attic” itself becoming apparent as the viewer moves through the gallery.
