Dear Artist or Art Lover,

“Where do I begin?”. . . the sweet refrain from the theme song for Love Story is the inspiration for our upcoming Member’s exhibition. It’s our pleasure to invite you to participate in Mercer Union: A Love Story.

This fabu fete is in part a thank you to the sexy, loving Members of Mercer, the groovy folks at the Ontario Trillium Foundation who helped us along the way with our renos, and of course to raise lucre for the gallery’s upcoming programming season. This ‘do will also mark the completion of the renovations at Mercer Union: what better way to break-in our new digs than by rockin’ and lovin’ in the free world with our Members and our love scene!

To be a part of this love-in event you too must be a sexy, loving member of Mercer Union. If your sexiness or lovin’ has expired, you can reinstate your general art allure by purchasing another membership. You can renew or become a Mercer Lover by filling out the form at the bottom of this invitation and send it to us to be in the show and sale.

Mercer Union: A Love Story will take place Thursday, February 8 to Saturday February 10, 2001. The hot, hot, hot party and sale will happen on Saturday, February 10, 2001.

Artwork: The size of the artworks must not exceed 2 x 2 x 2 ft. There are no restrictions on media. Works will be hung on the wall or placed on a table.

Terms of Sale: All of the artworks must be priced at $100. The terms of sale are a 50/50 split between the artist and Mercer Union, unless the artist specifies that he/she would like to donate a larger contribution to Mercer Union.

Registration Deadline: Please fill out the registration form below and send it to Mercer Union by Friday, January 26, 2001.

Drop-off Date: Please mail or bring your artwork to Mercer Union by 1-4 pm Sunday, Feb. 4 or 11-5 pm, Monday, Feb. 5th.
