Opening Reception 29 March 1983 8pm
East Gallery:
6×6
Ed Zelenak is presenting a number of works described as “metal in paper sleeved in acrylic.”
“My concerns are to define and to articulate a space in which a human consciousness apprehends the world and the self through a process of oppositions and eventuations.
Synthetically the archetypal symbol reveals the secular aspect of its being. Syndetically the symbol is aligned with a notion of a loci “a space of the self” in an ambient of time.
The group of works presented in this exhibit present a tableau wherein the process of experience becomes a narrative continuism of perception. The group 6×6 was initiated in 1978 and complete in 1979.”
