Rajni Perera’s multidisciplinary practice explores issues of hybridity, sacrilege, irreverence, the indexical sciences, ethnography, gender, sexuality, popular culture, deities, monsters, and dream worlds as they inform and create diasporic mythology. A graduate of OCADU where she received the Medal for Drawing and Painting in 2011, Perera has shown locally and internationally, most recently at Patel Gallery, Toronto (2018); the Museum of Contemporary Art, Toronto (2018); Triennale Banlieu, Laval (2018); and the Colombo Art Biennale (2016).
