For the tenth in our series of 10 Music In Alternative Spaces concerts, Isabelle Noel plans to develop a series of video murals with music, based on the theme of icons and notions of Canadian cultural identity, circa 70’s, and plans to compose a soundtrack for a greenhouse.
Isabelle Noël is a musician, composer, producer and DJ, who has worked on numerous projects in film and video soundtracks for Director’s Peter Sobchak and Nicole Chung; created music scores for new media and sound installations, dance and theatre. She also performs and creates pop music, and radio and audio art. She holds a B.F.A. in Music from York University, where she focused on electro-acoustic music, ethnomusicology and improvisation.
This is the final performance of a ten-part series that is supported by the Canada Council for the Arts Music in Alternative Spaces programme.
