We are pleased to present this exclusive opportunity for Mercer Union Sustaining Members to meet over drinks with Luis Jacob. The event will be hosted by Sarah Robayo Sheridan, Director of Exhibitions and Publications.
Having graduated from the University of Toronto with degrees in Philosophy and Semiotics in 1996, Jacob’s work addresses issues of social interaction and the subjectivity of aesthetic experience. His artistic practice is a site for further exploration of his theoretical interests and is complemented by concurrent activities as a curator, educator and writer. His art production manifests itself as photography, sculpture, multiples, public intervention, video and installation art. Participating in numerous exhibitions, discussions, public projects and other activities across Canada, the United States and internationally, Jacob has made a significant contribution to Toronto’s art community.
