fORUM: Lisa Robertson | Cinema of the Present

1 May 2015 7pm

Mercer Union is delighted to announce that our ninth fORUM of the season will be a performative reading by poet Lisa Robertson. Robertson and artist Hadley Howes will read the entire text of Cinema of the Present (Coach House Books, 2014), Robertson’s most recent publication. This reading is an experiment for two voices, in an uninterrupted two hour performance.

Lisa Robertson is a Canadian poet, essayist and translator. Her books include Debbie: An Epic (1997), The Weather (2001), The Men (2006), R’s Boat (2010), Lisa Roberson’s Magenta Soul Whip (2005), and the new long poem Cinema of the Present (2014).
