Artist Talk: Kristan Horton and Candice Breitz

Mercer Union presents artists’ talks by Kristan Horton and Candice Breitz:

Kristan Horton was born in Canada in 1971. He studied at Guelph University and the Ontario College of Art and Design. He has had an international exhibition career since the late 1990’s including Glassbox, Paris (FR), ZKM, Karlsruhe, Germany, Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art, Helsinki, Finland, Inter Communications Center, Tokyo Japan. Horton’s work has been shown in Toronto at Art Metropole, Wynick/Tuck Gallery and Diaz Contemporary. Horton was recently featured by Marco Deseriis in La Repubblica delle Donne (Milan, Italy) and by Ian Carr-Harris in Contemporary magazine (UK). Kristan Horton currently resides in Toronto.

Candice Breitz was born in Johannesburg (South Africa) and currently resides in New York City. Her work has been exhibited internationally in group and solo exhibitions, including the recent Venice Biennale. She is represented by Galleria Francesca Kaufmann in Milan.
