Creative Devigns

Rastafarian Trevor Dawkins’ vibrant, mandela-like tempera paintings incorporate praise for JAH and encouragement for humankind. Each vivid geometric design is an inspired mediation on the truth that joins a centre, through line and colour, to a higher source.

Trevor Dawkins is a member of Kitchen Jahm, a multi-media artists’ collective. He has performed and exhibited in Toronto at Third World bookstore, Scadding Court Community Centre, Kreative Kultural Network and the Fallout Shelter, and at numerous multi-media music and poetry events in Ontario. Intensely involved in the Rastafarian community, Dawkins participated in the Toronto International Rastafarian Conference and regularly gives radio interviews and talks on Rastafarian theology.

Mercer Union is located at 333 Adelaide Street West, 5th floor, on block north of King St.., east of Spadina. The gallery is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday 11:00am – 6:00pm. Admission is free.
