    MEDIA RELEASE

    Stephen Yeates' assemblages of Victorian Christian artifacts are haunting reminders of the missionary mind that measured, parcelled and sold the natural world. Yeates meticulously integrates his materials until they re-emerge as exquisite individual objects, each lost in its own gothic purgatory. His works comprise a poetic treatise on Death, Time, Memory, History, Faith and Absense.

    Toronto artist Stephen Yeates is self taught. This will be his first exhibition.
